Ventspils nafta Basketball Cup is an international basketball tournament traditionally hosted by a/s Ventspils nafta. This event held in Ventspils every autumn since 1998 and being a symbolic start of Latvian Basketball fixtures for the season welcomes participants represented by European major club teams.

The basketball tournament held on this level is the first for both Ventspils and Latvia. Moreover, it turned into the recognised event of prestige frequented only by highly professional basketball teams. The local basketball team also known as BC Ventspils which is the seven-time Gold medal winner and Latvian championship title-holder always participates in the tournament. Moreover, for the season 2002/2003 BC Ventspils came in Final Four and took third place in the International FIBA Championship Cup, leaving behind many powerful European basketball clubs. Good results were shown by BC Ventspils also in the prestigious ULEB Cup series.
