Supporting Latvian Art
The period when JSC Ventspils nafta started holding art exhibitions in its Business Centre and has turned it into a good tradition, backdates to the summer of 2004, when it decided to support and popularize in the business environment Latvian art created by various generations of the most talented artists. Art exhibitions varied in techniques and style, or small exhibitions dedicated to the works of one artist may be regularly observed in the Business Centre of JSC Ventspils nafta located at 23 Ostas Street in Ventspils. This project allows the business partners of JSC Ventspils nafta familiarize themselves with Latvian art; moreover, the employees of a/s Ventspils nafta and visitors of its Business Centre may enjoy aesthetics of their working environment formed by the art of a good quality.
Regular visits of artists to the exhibitions hosted by JSC Ventspils nafta are just another tradition acquired ever since. However, apart from the Business Centre, the artists are also frequenting the most beautiful and outstanding places located in Ventspils and its surroundings.
JSC Ventspils nafta has acquired title to some art works exhibited in the Business Centre and thus replenished its art collection with the intention of doing it also in the future. Apart from the professional artists, children studying at the local Art School of Ventspils also exhibit their works in the Business Centre by participating in certain topic contests hosted by JSC Ventspils nafta. After evaluation of the works created by children at Ventspils Art School, the art practitioners found them very interesting and professional for their age.
Art works exhibited in the Business Centre of JSC Ventspils nafta may be seen every working day, however, the visitors are required to dial preliminary 371 636 66934 to agree upon the date and time of their visit.
